Great Eastern Run 2014On October 12, Richard Ellington took park in the Great Eastern Run to raise funds for the Miscarriage Association.

He writes:

“Back in January, unfortunately my wife miscarried for the first time.

Until it happened to us I underestimated the devastating time a family goes through in these situations, I also didn’t realise how many people around me had experienced the same pain.

Luckily for us, we already have 1 beautiful boy, we put it into perspective and wanted to find a way to get support for those families that may go through this more than once or may not have the gift of having a child already.

Between me, my 5 year old, my cousin and my mother in law raising over £700 makes me feel like we’ve achieved this and hope that it all supports families which need it.”
