1 April 2019

The last 3 years we have been trying to get pregnant. The last 3 years we have been seen, tested and advised. The last 3 years we have lost 8 babies, all lost at 8 weeks or before. We have been let down by health professionals who have promised us hormonal support and then denied us access to it when we did get pregnant. We have been misdiagnosed and gone for unnecessary tests and tests done in good faith and then denied access to the results as apparently that’s going to cost us £300. I’ve had retained product 3 times due to services taking to long to see me, refusing to scan and refusing bloods.

We have had a nurse tell us that our baby would’ve probably survived if the doctor allowed us access to the hormone treatment we were promised.

I am thankful to have a beautiful daughter but we continue to fight to extend our family with little help from the NHS we have recently gone privately and sadly lost baby number 8 after a cycle of Clomid and I’m currently waiting for all the miscarriage symptoms to come. Secondary infertility isn’t spoken about and I really want to spread awareness and support to couples in the same position. It’s a painful journey but if anything positive can come from my experience and support someone else then this brings me comfort

April Fools Day

We found out that we were expecting our little girl on April Fool’s Day in 2015. It is also my husband’s birthday. This year I found out I was pregnant but again sadly I’m currently going through a miscarriage. Every April Fools I will spread awareness that pregnancy is no joke and to never make a fake pregnancy announcement as you never know what someone is going through.
