It took 34 months of love and 2 cycles of fertility medication to get our positive pregnancy test. At our 9 week scan we heard those dreaded words ‘I’m so sorry….’ – our little one had stopped growing 4 weeks ago.

3 weeks later and I’m still carrying our little one. We are waiting for the hospital to advise what happens next but I’m not ready to say goodbye, it’s still a part of me and I can’t bear to lose it. I know that sounds crazy but I feel like its Mum and I want to protect it and keep it safe. Our little love wasn’t around for long, but we feel like we were parents if only in thought.

I can’t imagine a future without children and I want to use this experience to make sure we give our next little ones the best chance. I’m going to take strength that our little one gave us hope and use that to fight back against my struggling mental health.

It would be so easy to give up and hide away but our little one deserves better and I need our future littles ones to know how strong and brave our first little love was.
