After finding out we were pregnant in early December, we had a private early scan and told close family our amazing news on Christmas Eve.
The first scan showed the baby to be a little smaller than my dates, so I was allowed to go back 2 weeks later to get a clearer picture.
We arrived and couldn’t wait to see out little baby on the screen, when we heard nothing but silence and no clear baby on the screen.
All of a sudden we panicked, hoping it would just appear all at once, then we heard the dreaded words, “I can’t find a heartbeat.” Our hearts broke.
We managed to get an appointment at the hospital the following day but the next 24 hours felt like weeks.
They confirmed the findings and we had to leave feeling empty and heartbroken.
We had to wait another 5 days and on the 11th January 2023 they preformed an MVA.
Then last week on the 22nd March ourselves and other families in the same heartbreaking situation went to the crematorium where they performed the most beautiful service for our most tiny beautiful babies, followed by the scattering of the ashes the day after.
Now we have somewhere special where we can go and visit and spend time with our angel baby. We will always be grateful to the NHS for making this possible.

This year we will… Spend every spare minute we can with you, make you a little garden we can come and visit, do something nice when it’s your due date, then celebrate every year on the 11th of January. I know you’re not here in body, but I know you’ll always be with us in spirit and we will love you forever and never forget you.
