All the hopes and dreams,
I created for you,
Will be put to rest now,
As dad and I stay as two.
My body tried to hold on,
So too did my heart,
And still I cannot accept,
That you and I had to part.
Instead I grieve for the life,
That I longed to create,
And mourn for the birthdays,
We will not get to celebrate.
Though to lose you so soon,
Has taught me one thing,
That one’s love for their child,
Defies everything.
For we may not have met,
Yet I loved without doubt,
And your beautiful memory,
I will never be without.
