I had a missed miscarriage at 11 weeks when I was 19, 2 years and 4 months ago as I write this.
I felt very alone at the time, like no one understood what I had been through. I also felt like I had a massive lack of support from healthcare professionals as well as the people in my personal life.
This led me to want to become a midwife, to be able to support people who may be struggling with similar things that I had been through.
Caring for women through their rainbow pregnancies and births has given me so much hope for my future.
I decided to use the hardest thing I had ever been through to make a change in other peoples lives.
I am now coming to the end of my first year as a midwifery student and I couldn’t love the job more.
